Don’t let Congress fast-track natural gas exports

Tell Congress fracking is not in our public interest

Congress is considering two bills that would fast track liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports.

Not satisfied with simply fracking for domestic use, politicians in Washington are tripping over themselves to frack our communities even more to ship fracked gas overseas.

HR 6 and S 2083 short circuits the process the Department of Energy uses to decide if an LNG export facility is in the public interest. Environmental reviews would be given short shrift. Instead, all future LNG export projects to World Trade Organization countries (over 150 of them) would be decreed in the public interest -- whether they actually are or not (they're not).

Tell Congress the public wants less fracking, not more!

Exporting the gas we frack to foreign countries not only damages our environment and communities, it will increase prices for energy and manufactured goods. It’s time our leaders focused on climate change and renewables, and stopped promoting fracked fossil fuels of all types, especially those headed for Asia.

TAKE ACTION: Tell Congress to oppose fast tracking LNG exports!
