Core Principles that Guide Our Business
Black Marlin was established in 2012 based on a model of specialty-sited frac tank and vacuum truck cleaning, driven by four core principles:
Principle 1: Safety
The Company realized from the beginning that its workforce was its most important asset. With extensive safety training that the Company financed, monthly safety bonuses, a formal payroll system, guaranteed 40 hour work week and time and ½ pay for additional hours, all created a loyal, hard-working staff that has made Black Marlin a model for safety with state and national regulators.

Principle 2: Environmental Compliance
The Company’s principals designed multiple-vehicle cleaning bays in an environmentally controlled closed-loop system that captured waste water run-off for disposal, minimized wash water usage, and reduced customer rates to the lowest in the market.

Principle 3: Cost
The Company situated its first site based on major road access in the center of drilling activity in Gonzales County. It opened its second site in Atascosa County in January, 2014. Its plan of multiple sites located within reasonable driving distance of major drilling activity allows the Company to improve and refine its systems and equipment utilization without losing its commitment to quality and service.

Principle 4: Reliability
Rapid turnaround with cleaning crews available on call 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. This puts frac tanks back into service within a day and often within hours if the demand arises.
The Company’s focus on safety, environmental compliance, cost, and reliability is the basis of the commitment its customers have shown to Black Marlin.
Black Marlin built its business by listening to its customers and responding to their needs. Black Marlin is privileged to have master service agreement with the major E&P companies and the largest providers of auxiliary rentals and oilfield services in the Eagle Ford Shale. This has allowed the Company to grow its revenues 200% since inception.
