An Extraterrestrial Time-Lapse, As Seen From the International Space Station

Oct 24, 2014 | 110-part series
Chris Heller

Filmmaker David Peterson cut together this spectacular montage of footage shot aboard the International Space Station between September 2011 and July 2012. The sights are extraordinary, of course, but this time-lapse stands out for repeatedly framing Earth through the space station's port-hole. It's a reminder: astronauts are people. They need windows too.
