The Kansas City Royals are headed to Game 7, and there's no shortage of Royals pride at area businesses.
During the past several weeks, businesses have been showing their Royals support, whether it's wearing Royals gear, hosting company barbecues or hanging Royals signs. Companies have taken to social media to proclaim their Royals' love, and others have changed their logos or turned their buildings blue at night.
The metro area's affection for the Royals has garnered national media attention, and USA Today said the Royals have the "best tailgate parties in baseball."
Regardless of whether the Royals win or lose Wednesday, it's been a great ride. The team has created an electric atmosphere in the metro area and is shining an even bigger spotlight on Kansas City.
Leslie covers retail and restaurants, and creates Web stories and other online content.
