Leawood-based Mariner Holdings has 60 job openings throughout the firm and also plans to hire 100 new advisers and business development consultants in the next six months.

The need to add employees stems from the company's impressive growth track, adding $8 billion in assets under management in 2014. The firm already has hired 100 professionals this year, and now it plans to do that again in six months.

"We've reached a point in our growth where we have the opportunity to expand our services and provide a greater level of support to our clients," Mariner CEO Marty Bicknell said. "I know, as does everyone else here, that our greatest assets are the dedicated professionals who choose to work here. I look forward to expanding our team and adding even more talent and experience to the Mariner family."

Mariner Holdings has two main subsidiaries. Mariner Wealth Advisors, the wealth planning and advisory arm, and Montage Investments, the asset management arm. The combined company has about $35 billion in assets under management.

Mariner Holdings was named as a Best Place to Work by the Kansas City Business Journal in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Mariner Wealth Advisors ranked No. 2 on Barron's magazine list of Top 100 Independent Wealth Advisors for the past two years in a row.

Mariner has been exceptionally busy adding services and growing. In the past year, the firm has:

Launched FirstPoint Financial, which offers personalized financial advice with no minimum asset requirements.

• Launched Mariner Consulting, which provides tax advisory services.

Launched Mariner Retirement Advisors, providing 401(k) advisory services to plan sponsors nationwide.
