After back-to-back wins over its closest challengers, Delaware Valley established itself as the solid top team in the Times-Tribune High School Football Poll.

The Warriors are a unanimous choice at No. 1 following their 28-20 win over second-ranked Scranton Prep. In Week 8, Delaware Valley beat Scranton when it was No. 2.

On Friday, the Warriors will try to finish an unbeaten season in Division I, but will encounter yet another ranked opponent when they travel to No. 6 Wallenpaupack, which defeated Wyoming Area.

Scranton Prep stayed put at No. 2 despite the loss. A good showing against the Warriors helped it maintain its spot in the poll. This week, the Cavaliers will host West Scranton.

Old Forge, the lone remaining unbeaten team in the Lackawanna Football Conference, moved up to No. 3 in the poll. The Blue Devils have won 15 straight games in the regular season and clinched at least a tie for their fourth straight LFC Division III title.

This week, Old Forge will travel to No. 8 Susquehanna, which fell two spots after being upset by Carbondale Area.

Scranton dropped one spot to No. 4 after suffering its second straight loss. The Knights had a lead against Wyoming Valley West before falling, 24-14.

Dunmore is fifth after winning its ninth straight game. The Bucks also clinched a tie for their fourth straight LFC Division II title and will play at Riverside, which has won three straight, Friday night.

Wallenpaupack moved up a spot after its win over Wyoming Area.

Honesdale is No. 7, up a spot after beating Western Wayne, 34-14.

Lackawanna Trail returned to the poll at No. 9 after beating Mid Valley.

And Western Wayne fell one more spot to No. 10.

North Pocono, which defeated Abington Heights, was the only other team to receive votes in this week’s poll.
