Dallas Frack Attack Summit brings fracking impact experts to heart of shale boom to teach affected citizens how to better protect their communities

WHAT:
Frack Attack National Summit, a coalition-led gathering of hundreds from across the country

WHERE:
Best Western Plus Dallas Hotel & Conference Center
8051 Lyndon B Johnson Freeway Dallas, TX 75251

WHEN:
Saturday March 2nd & Sunday March 3rd, 2013

WHO:

  • Concerned citizens
  • Impacted families
  • Josh Fox, director of GASLAND
  • Tony Ingraffea, Cornell Professor whose research first revealed natural gas extraction’s climate change impacts
  • Deborah Rogers, author of Drill Baby Drill, groundbreaking research uncovering the Wall Street connection between the shale gas bubble and the housing bubble
  • Danny Kennedy, CEO and founder of Sungevity Solar
  • Wilma Subra, Chemist, MacArthur Genius Grant winner, oil and gas development public health impact expert
  • And more

WHY:
As advocates from President Obama to the disgraced former-chairman of Chesapeake Energy champion unconventional oil and gas extraction as the environmentally friendly answer to the nation’s energy ills, the facts on the ground tell a different story.

Building from last summer’s Stop the Frack Attack rally on the U.S. Capitol grounds — the largest national fracking rally ever — this Summit will inform citizens from across the country about the latest information regarding fracking’s impacts on communities and the environment.  And it will also help provide them with the tools to better make their case to their neighbors, to media, and to local, state and national decisionmakers.
