NEW INFORMATION
December 12, 2013 - Our analysis and review is continuing. Once it is complete and a final decision is made, we will release the final versions of the Forest Plan and Environmental Impact Statement.
December 17, 2012 - We continue to update the analysis and proceed through the review process in completing the Final Forest Plan and Environmental Impact Statement. We now expect the final versions to be completed and released in the spring fall of 2013.
July 31, 2012 - We are continuing to evaluate the comments and update the analysis. We now expect the Final Forest Plan and Final Environmental Impact Statement to be completed by the end of 2012.
March 5, 2012 - The comment period for the Draft Forest Plan and Draft Environmental Impact Statement ended on October 17, 2011. Thank you for so many letters that showed evidence of considerable thought, underlying time and coordination with others. As we begin evaluating the comments, you might be interested in seeing the wide range of letters we received, all of which are posted on the Draft Plan and EIS Comments Page.
So, what's next?
We will review all of the comments and respond to them in the Final Environmental Impact Statement. Possible responses include modifying alternatives, developing new alternatives, improving or supplementing analyses, making factual corrections, or explaining why the comments do not warrant further agency response. The comments will also be used to update the draft Forest Plan.
