Denton parks officials plan a grand opening for the new driving range at North Lakes Park for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Denton residents may try the range for free from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and get tips from the pros, including club demonstrations.
Prizes for putting and chipping contests will be awarded by age group.
The event will include free hot dogs and golf towels while supplies last.
The driving range is located at 2009 W. Windsor Drive.
