9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. — Robson Ranch Craft Bazaar at the community clubhouse. To reach the sale, take I-35E to Exit 79, Robson Ranch Road. Go west 11/2 miles, enter the gates to Robson Ranch, and follow posted signs to the bazaar.

10 a.m. — Spooky Story Time at South Branch Library, 3228 Teasley Lane. Best for ages 1-5. Children can wear costumes to hear not-too-scary stories, then go on a Halloween trick-or-treating parade. Free. Call 940-349-8752.

11 a.m. to 9 p.m. — Denton’s Day of the Dead Festival includes a street fair, carnival games and crafts for kids in the pumpkin patch on Industrial Street, coffin races down Oak Street, music all day and the Twilight Lantern Light parade through downtown. 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. — Empty Bowls luncheon at Our Daily Bread soup kitchen, located at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 300 W. Oak St. Proceeds support Our Daily Bread and the Denton Community Food Center. The $20 cost includes soup, bread and a handmade bowl of choice.
