Hundreds of University of North Texas students are signed up to do volunteer work on Saturday for the university’s Make A Difference Day.

An estimated 1,000 to 1,200 students will volunteer at more than 20 sites, with work ranging from trash pickup to organizing donated items at local Goodwill locations. Some students will also work at local schools, including UNT’s campus.

The event is organized by the university’s Center for Leadership and Service and is part of a larger national movement.
