Chris Deschene is a veteran, an attorney, an engineer, a family man, a community leader, and a volunteer. Chris grew up on the Navajo Nation in Lechee, Ariz., and attended school in Page, Ariz. He excelled in high school as a straight-A student and varsity athlete. Chris was one of very few Native Americans to be accepted into the prestigious U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in the U.S. Marine Corps.
