Simple API
The easiest way to get information about videos, users, groups, channels, albums, and activity. You don’t need to register or authenticate your app to use the Simple API, but it’s limited to public data and is read-only.
Advanced API
The only way to perform authenticated read/write requests on videos, users, groups, channels, albums, or upload. The Advanced API uses OAuth for authentication and you’ll first need to register your app.
oEmbed
An open standard for embedding videos or images into a website. You can use the URL of any Vimeo video to easily get the embed code for it. You do not need to register your app to use oEmbed.
