On Tuesday, the WESST Enterprise Center opened the Comcast Digital Media Studio, a new spot where local companies can drop in and learn to launch their digital campaigns with professional equipment.

Comcast donated $200,000 to WESST to make the studio possible.

"We wanted something high tech that could be put in play at a reasonable cost," said Russ Combs, the managing director of the center. "This is for the small business person that wants to start digital marketing."

You don't have to be a WESST member to use the studio, which has a full lighting setup, two editing bays, a scrim, bleachers for an audience, and more.

The studio has been planned since the WESST Enterprise Center was on the drawing board, Combs said. It was originally designed by Doug Lee, and it's dedicated to his memory.
