UPDATE: Highway ramp reopens in Midlothian six hours after deadly crash involving cement truck

Update at 1 p.m.:

The ramp from Highway 67 to Highway 287 has reopened, six hours after this morning’s crash.

Staff writer Paige Kerley reports:

A truck driver died early Thursday when his 18-wheeler loaded with powdered cement overturned in Midlothian.

The crash happened about 7 a.m. on the ramp from U.S. Highway 67 to U.S. Highway 287. The driver, who was not identified, died at the scene.

Midlothian police expected the ramp to be closed for hours to offload the cement and upright the semi.
