State Rep. Dale Mallory, brother of former Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory, has pleaded guilty to ethics violations stemming from gifts he received as a legislator.

Mallory, a Cincinnati Democrat, pleaded guilty to one count of filing a false financial disclosure statement and one count of accepting prohibited gratuities from a legislative agent on Wednesday in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas.

Court documents state that Mallory filed a false financial disclosure in 2010 that failed to list a lobbyist as the source of professional football tickets, food and drinks he received in 2009. Mallory also accepted professional sporting tickets from a lobbyist that were worth more than the state's $75 gift limit that legislators are allowed to receive.

The lawsuit came as a result of the FBI's Public Corruption Task Force investigating payday lending proposals in the Ohio legislature.
