Three Landstar lines granted military contract to transport dangerous materials

Three Landstar brokers were granted a U.S. military contract to transport goods throughout the continental United States, Alaska and Canada.
Landstar Inway Inc., Landstar Express America Inc. and Landstar Ranger Inc., all based in Jacksonville, will transport crucial goods for the military. These goods include arms, ammunitions and explosives, hazardous materials and secret and confidential cryptographic items.
A total of 24 transportation carriers have been awarded the contract, which has a total value of $205,971,494. The expected completion date is Oct. 27 of next year.
