Four of San Antonio's favorite spots for meeting business associates over breakfast or morning coffee have prevailed in their respective brackets of Morning Meeting Madness.

In what is so far the matchup of the tournament, fans of Earl Abel's on Austin Highway made a furious rush in the final minutes of voting to overcome The Guenther House by 30 votes in the Crocket Bracket final. In all, 1,154 votes were cast in that matchup. Collectively, more than 1,760 votes were cast in the four bracket finals.

The Travis Bracket also saw a tight race, with the Magnolia Pancake Haus on Embassy Oaks getting past Madhatters Tea House & Café by 19 votes. In the other bracket finals:

• Bowie Bracket: Green Vegetarian Cuisine at 200 E. Grayson St. defeated the Magnolia Pancake Haus at 10333 Huebner Road.
• Dickinson Bracket: Rosella Coffee at 203 E. Jones St. defeated the Local Coffee at 312 Pearl Parkway.

Voting on the Mad Four will start Thursday.
