WinWholesale Inc. has a new store in South Carolina, its third additional U.S. location this month.

The Moraine-based distributor of construction and industrial supplies opened Greenville Winsupply in Greenville to provide contractors in upstate South Carolina with HVAC supplies and equipment. Jake Way is the local company president.

WinWholesale now has 11 local companies in South Carolina operating under the Winnelson, Winlectric, Winsupply and Winair brands. Earlier this month, WinWholesale opened two new locations in northwest Arkansas. ( Click here to read that story.)

The new South Carolina and Arkansas sites are part of WinWholesale's push for national growth, which bolsters Dayton-area headquarters.

WinWholesale — which is privately held and posted $2.2 billion in revenue in 2013 — is the seventh-largest company in the region based on revenue, according to Dayton Business Journal research. Company officials expect WinWholesale to top the $3 billion mark within five years.

The parent company has an ownership stake in all the local companies, and provides them with the gamut of support including services such as IT, accounting, group purchasing and distribution. Outside of the name and support, local owners work to build their own identities by targeting their customer base.

WinWholesale has about 300 employees in the Dayton region, including its headquarters and operating locations, and about 4,400 employees total.
