St. Louis-based Answers Corp. is expanding with a new office space in Cleveland, the company announced Tuesday.
Answers will house roughly 30 of its Answers Cloud Services staff at the office, located at The Ohio Savings Bank Building, 1111 Chester Ave. Many of those staff members are former Easy2 Technologies employees — Answers acquired Cleveland-based merchandising company Easy2 Technologies for an undisclosed amount in August 2013.
"Answers feels very much at home in Cleveland. We're excited to be part of its fast-growing tech scene and we look forward to tapping into local talent to grow our team," said Answers CEO David Karandish in a statement. "The new office supports the company's plans to hire additional engineers, sales and client services personnel as it expands its enterprise products and services."
Answers is best known for its question and answer website Answers.com, but also owns other cloud-based companies that help businesses engage with consumers.
In September, the company was acquired by Apax Partners in a deal worth $900 million. Following that deal, it raised $39 million through an equity offering, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
By the end of this year, Answers expects to consolidate its New York City presence into a new office space on the 11th floor of 11 Times Square, a 40-story skyscraper in Manhattan, in a move associated with its acquisition of ForeSee Results Inc., which Answers bought in late 2013 for more than $200 million.
Answers reported $165.5 million in 2013 revenue and has nearly 100 employees in St. Louis at 6665 Delmar Blvd.
