People want to harp on oil and gas, and some communities like Denton, Texas, want to ban it.  Colorado is now a battleground state where normally people who sit down and work things out are drawing corners and taking sides.

Why has fracking become such a dividing topic?   What these people aren’t considering is the alternative.  Oil and gas still comprise 80% of our energy needs.  After 50 years of developing other technologies, the two primary alternative sources of wind and solar only comprise 3% of our energy needs.  THREE PERCENT.

We are decades away from NOT NEEDING oil and gas to fuel our lives and secure our borders.  We have another century of supply locked up under our own soil.  We as an industry just have to be free to go unlock it.
