Still worthy for a Rock Hall exhibit after all these years.

Paul Simon will be the subject of a new exhibition at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. “Paul Simon: Words and Music” will arrive at the Rock Hall tomorrow (Oct. 30), coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Simon’s musical career both solo and as part of Simon & Garfunkel.

As the Cleveland Plain-Dealer notes, it’s the first exhibit at the museum that begins under Karen Herman, the new vp of collections and curatorial affairs for the Rock Hall.

Among the items featured in the exhibit are handwritten lyrics to “The Boxer,” Simon’s first guitar and multiple GRAMMYs, among nearly 100 more.

According to Herman in a teleconference call, multiple interviews were conducted with Simon to help fill out the exhibit with his stories.

“He was very generous,” she said. “He gave us about three hours of his time over three sessions. He was very open and didn’t ask for questions in advance. Later, he said, ‘I was very open with my answers, more than I usually am.'”

She continued: “There’s just so much about his life and career. The hardest part was editing it all down. How do you do that without losing the story?”
