The Grassroots Network Coordinating Pair (Clayton Daughenbaugh and Bob Bingaman) is preparing its report to the Board of Directors, and we need your help. We would like to provide a quick snapshot of all our Grassroots Network Teams, so we ask that you take a few minutes to use the linked Google Form to give us that brief summary of your team's work in 2014.

Vicky Hoover Honored for her Wilderness Advocacy

Sierra Club volunteer leader and wilderness champion extraordinaire Vicky Hoover was honored during Wilderness Week in Washington, D.C., at a banquet celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act, which was passed just a few years before she started backpacking in the Sierra Nevada with her family. Since then, she's climbed 247 Sierra peaks, led countless outings to wild places that need protection, and been instrumental in achieving protection for many of them.

The September Grassroots Network, open to all Grassroots Network team volunteeers, has been set for Monday, Sept. 29, at 8 p.m. ET, 7 p.m. CT, 6 p.m. MT, 5 p.m. PT. Our topic, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will be led by Bob Bingaman, National Field Director and Diversity Support Team member, and Jessica Ronald, Sierra Club's Diversity Effectiveness Representative. So save the date, and we'll see you on the 29th.
