Dallas-based ShowBiz Cinemas plans to nearly double its number of theaters in Texas, adding three new locations in the Houston area.

A Baytown location will have 10 screens and 14 bowling lanes; an east Houston location will have 12 screens; and a northeast Houston location will have 10 screens and 14 bowling lanes.

ShowBiz Cinemas also announced a new Lindale, Texas, location. All four locations will include the company's Superior Digital Experience screens, digital projection with 3-D capabilities, oversized leather seating and digital sound.

They will also include self-serve concession areas and a full café and bar, which will offer moviegoers and bowlers an expanded menu featuring brisket sliders, flatbread pizzas, angus burgers, chicken tenders, Blue Bell ice cream and Starbucks beverages. The bar will serve mixed drinks, premium wines, craft beers and frozen cocktails.

The four new locations will double the company's size, bringing it to 86 screens across nine Texas locations. The company also has an additional 34 screens and 44 bowling lanes under negotiation and expects to make official announcements soon.

ShowBiz is partnering with Capital One Bank to finance its growth. It also has development partnerships with NewQuest Properties, BPI Realty Services and The Consortium Firm International.

Prior to the expansion, ShowBiz Cinemas only had one Houston-area location, in Kingwood, where construction is underway on an expansion to add an SDX auditorium and a bar amenity. SDX auditoriums include floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall 70-foot screens and immersive Dolby Atmos sound.

The company's other locations are in Waxahachie, Granbury, Marble Falls and Orange.
