Denton’s Marco Scarola earned his spot in August’s Bright Realty Texas State Open.
Scarola tied for first place in a qualifier on Monday at Lantana Golf Club. Scarola shot 3-under 69, which put him in a tie with Fort Worth’s Curtis Carlson.
The Texas State Open, which is organized by the Northern Texas PGA, begins July 31 at The Lakes at Castle Hills in Lewisville.
