We received more than our usual deluge of comment section complaints this week — and trust us, we get quite a few complaints about our comment section. A longtime listener even gave us a call early this week, wondering why the comment section “wasn’t a more pleasant place.” While we can’t answer that question, we can say that we’re glad that our comment boards are places where  a broad range of people feel comfortable leaving their thoughts, however terse. We maintain a rather high standard for comment moderation — no exceedingly explicit, violent or sexualized language, no spam ads, and the like — and we think the forum that results is a wide representation of the people who listen to our broadcasts on air and online. Is it a perfect place? Far from it. But we stand behind it.
