Troop 650 Ambassadors Maranda M. and Leah B., with a few other Girl Scouts from SU 406 helped the troop donate cans to the North Texas Food Bank.

Local Girl Scouts canvassed their neighborhood for canned goods and asked the other troops in their service unit for donations of canned meat, beans and fruit to fill the North Texas Food Bank shelves.

At the October Girl Scout Leader Meeting, 14 Troops from SU 406 (Lewisville/Highland Village area) added to the 147 cans the troop collected for a total of 360 that Troop 650 will deliver.

The food bank, in turn, supports local pantries like Christian Community Action in Lewisville.
