Jobs, jobs, not so much.

We received a special request in the comment section when I posted Dory’s new connect the dots video.

Can someone connect the dots for me on IHS Global Insight, or IHS Global State, ???? They seem to keep releasing the same report over-and-over again moving state-to-state with the same numbers. 44,000 jobs in every state and a magical 267k jobs over 20 years. HA, these gas wells (HVHF) only last about 7 years. The ground is fracked, the water and air polluted, the gas is gone in 10 years and the jobs with them. What numbers are they twisting, who are they, and who are they funded by???

Today Dory delivered.

IHS Global Insights: A Game of Clones

Thanks Dory!

Misleading jobs figures for energy related projects are, sadly, par for the course. The Keystone XL jobs created numbers are nowhere near accurate, in light of other large pipeline builds, like REX, Kern River, Ruby, & Pacific Connector.

Thank you Dory. From the person who requested. The number just made no sense and seemed to be coming up way too often in different states that it couldn’t possibly be right but people just believe whatever the oil & gas industry tells them.
