After registering, submit your weekly predictions of the final scores for each regular season Dallas Cowboys football game. You must also submit your e-mail so we can contact you if you are the winner.
ONE ENTRY PER PERSON PER WEEK REGARDLESS OF ENTRY PLATFORM.
DEADLINES: The Dallas Morning News/SportsDay DFW Pick'em contest starts on September 2, 2013 and ends on December 29, 2013. Weekly predictions can be submitted or changed up until 10:00 a.m. CST on the day of the game. The Dallas Morning News is not responsible for late or incomplete entries.
The sole determinant of time for the purposes of the Contest will be when the entry is received by the Administrator's server. Participants entering close to the posted deadline do so with this information in mind.
No responsibility is assumed by The Dallas Morning News, A. H. Belo Corporation, their respective subsidiaries, parents, partners, or other Contest providers for lost, late, misdirected, or illegible entries or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. Entries will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. 'Authorized account holder' is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet Access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Multiple entries by the same person, including those made electronically by one person using one or more e-mail accounts, will result in disqualification.
All entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified with a natural person by appropriate independent means, including, without limitation, reverse domain name search. Potential winners may be requested to provide Contest Providers with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry.
VOTING/JUDGING: The user who has the most points each week -- awarded based upon correctness of prediction -- will win a weekly prize. The user who has the most points at the end of the 2013 Cowboys regular season will win the grand prize. If players are tied, then the Administrator will conduct a random drawing of the tied players to determine the winner. The following criteria is used to determine a user's score:
- Did the user choose the correct winner?
- f the user chose the incorrect winner, they get 0 points for the week.
- If the user chose the correct winner, they earn 100 points MINUS their score differential. A point will be subtracted for each point they miss the final score by (using both team scores).
Example:
The Cowboys beat the Eagles, 24-17.
User 1 predicted: Cowboys 20, Eagles 10. User 1 score: 100-11=89
User 2 predicted: Eagles 24, Cowboys 10. User 2 score: 0.
User 3 predicted: Cowboys 40, Eagles 0. User 3 score: 100-33=67.
User 4 predicted: Eagles 20, Cowboys 17. User 4 score: 0
The scores will be automatically tabulated by the Administrator and monitored by designated employees of the Dallas Morning News (collectively, the 'Judges'). All decisions of the Judges and the Sponsor are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest. The Judges reserve the right to disqualify registered users if they have not abided by the Official Rules of the contest.
PRIZES: Each week during the Cowboys regular season, one (1) winner, determined as the participant with the most points that week, will receive a $50 gift card redeemable at the Cowboys online gift store http://www.shopcowboys.com and participating Official Dallas Cowboys Pro Shops locations. At the end of the Cowboys regular season, one (1) grand prize winner (the participant with the overall highest point total for the entire season) will receive two tickets to a 2014 regular season home game. If players are tied for weekly prizes or the grand prize, then a random drawing by the Administrator will determine a winner. Limit one prize per person or household.
NOTIFICATION AND VERIFICATION: Winners are determined by highest point total weekly and for the overall season. Winners are subject to verification by The Dallas Morning News whose decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. Winners will be notified via direct messaging or e-mail each week. If a winner is unreachable after two (2) business days, the person with the next highest point total will become the winner. In order to be named a winner, potential winners may be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Prize Acceptance Form/Release of Liability upon accepting a prize. Noncompliance will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected. Winner agrees to appear and/or have their likeness and/or comments used on dallasnews.com, or in any other related media at the discretion of The Dallas Morning News management.
WINNERS LIST: Winners will be posted on the SportsDay Cowboys Fan Central account and at sportsdaydfw.com. Official Rules and the name of the winners may be obtained by sending a self addressed, stamped #10 envelope to: The Dallas Morning News, 508 Young St., Dallas TX 75202.
Indicate 'SPORTSDAY DFW PICK'EM Rules Request' or 'SPORTSDAY DFW PICK'EM Winner List' on the outside of the envelope as applicable. Limit one (1) request per envelope. The request must include the name of the Contest.

You further agree to not knowingly damage or cause interruption of the Contest or to prevent others' participation in the Contest.
