Blotter: Man arrested after reported disturbance

A 51-year-old Denton man who prompted a disturbance call in the 2700 block of Roselawn Drive on Monday ended up under arrest and charged with multiple offenses, according to a police report.

Police responding to a call about an intoxicated man who wouldn’t leave the location when he was asked to do so at about 1:30 a.m. found that the suspect had driven away, but they spotted his car on an interstate service road, the report stated.

After observing the driver commit several traffic violations, the vehicle was pulled over, police said.

The driver was charged with driving while intoxicated-third or more offense, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the city jail.

Other reports

1400 block of Teasley Lane — Someone broke into a residence between Sept. 11 and Tuesday, according to a police report.

Items listed as missing from the residence included a television. No arrests have been made.

2300 block Colorado Boulevard — Police responded to recent complaints of graffiti in the area.

According to a police report, a shipping container had been painted with gang signs. A caller reported that bridge pilings had been painted as well.

An officer indicated in the report that no suspect or witnesses to the offense had been located.

From 7 a.m. Tuesday to 7 a.m. Wednesday:

Denton County Sheriff’s Office dispatchers handled 881 service and officer-initiated calls for the agencies they serve. Forty people were booked into Denton County Jail.

Denton police handled 285 service and officer-initiated calls and posted 27 reports online.
