Denton police are still on the hunt for a man who used a portable toilet in his escape plan Sunday.
Officers responded to a call about a theft in progress at a store in the 2600 block of West University Drive. There, the officer met with the store clerks who reported the crime. According to the clerks, the thief stole clothing items from the store and ran to a portable toilet at a nearby construction area to hide.
From there, according to police reports, the suspected thief then ran and left the area in an unknown vehicle with a female accomplice.
Police were able to find and recover stolen items from the construction area near the portable toilet, where the suspect had stashed them.
