Denton police dealt with a pair of squabbling siblings Sunday night.

In a domestic disturbance call at a home in the 3700 block of Pockrus Page Road, a woman reported that she got into an argument with her sister and that her sister threw a plate at her and hit her with a metal pot causing her to get a small cut on her forehead.

When the officer arrived on scene and contacted the caller, the suspect and witnesses, it was determined that both females had small scratches on their faces, most likely from a physical encounter with each other, police reports state. However, but the officer said he believed the suspect was the primary aggressor because she threw a plate.

Also, from a witness account confirming the story, the officer learned the suspect hit the complainant on the head, causing her to get scratched. The woman was arrested on a charge of assault family violence and taken to the Denton city jail.
