KARINA RAMÍREZ, is a staff writer at Al Día, the Spanish paper of the Dallas Morning News. Prior to Al Dia, she worked at El Hispano News as a staff writer and social media manager. In 2007, she joined the staff at Denton Record-Chronicle (DR-C) where she wrote a weekly Sunday business column for the newspaper and also contributed news pieces to the monthly Business Chronicle. She was also part of the social media team at the DR-C handling various social media sites and also updating the newspaper's website.
Something people don't know about me: I have been a ballroom dancer with Arthur Murray Dance Studios in Dallas for as long as I have been reporter. It is my weekly guilty pleasure.
Most unforgettable experience on the job: getting bit by a dog while covering the opening of a new animal shop and dog care service.
My favorite person: my teenage daughter.
