Sora Northeast Development was named master developer of a large tract in the north end Woodbury, N.J., where a proposed light rail train station is proposed.

The area of development sits along Red Bank Avenue and North Broad Street and is across from the Inspira Medical Center. While it's still early in the process, the Sewell, N.J., developer plans to construct a medical office campus that consists of two, 5-story buildings totaling 125,000 square feet. Sora is finalizing its agreement with the city and will then enter into talks with existing local businesses that are in the redevelopment area about future projects upon parcels in which they now occupy. A CVS and McDonald's are among the businesses now occupying space on the redevelopment site.

It is hoped that by incorporating existing health care facilities and focusing on medical uses as an anchor to the development, it will encourage additional economic activity in the South Jersey community. For the last five years, Woodbury has been looking for ways to revitalize this part of its town.

Many know Sora as the master development of the Rowan Boulevard project in Glassboro N.J., that connects the downtown with Rowan University.
