Members of fire departments from across Denton County will gather today to pay respects to those who have fallen in the line of duty.
The event will take place from noon to 1 p.m. at Firefighter Memorial Park located behind the Denton County Administration Complex at 535 S. Loop 288 in Denton, according to an announcement by the county.
Fire Marshal Jody Gonzalez said a presentation of colors as well as pipes and drums will be part of the ceremony to reflect on firefighters who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
The public is invited to attend.
