If you're a Milwaukee Bucks fan and you happen to be in New York City next Wednesday, stop in at 271 Central Park West, Unit 3/4E, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for an open house. If you buy it, you can say you now own Bucks owner Wes Edens' former pad.
We have some photos of Edens' apartment that you can check out in this slideshow.
According to the New York Daily News, the Upper West Side apartment in Manhattan, listed for $17 million with agents Jay Glazer and Landis Hosterman of Urban Compass, is owned by Edens, who is a co-majority owner of the Bucks with fellow hedge fund executive Marc Lasry. Glazer didn't confirm the identity of the owner to the Daily News, but the publication says public records show Edens owning the home since the 1990s.
The six-bed, 4.5-bath apartment is a 6,000-square-foot duplex with views overlooking Central Park. The Urban Compass listing says the "gracious two-story residence embraces just such an environment with the scale and elegant feel of a townhouse and 80 feet of park frontage on each floor with every room overlooking Central Park."
Earlier this year, Edens and Lasry paid $550 million to buy the Milwaukee Bucks from owner Herb Kohl. The pair are now trying to decide on where to build a new arena for the team, likely to cost $400 million to $500 million. Lasry said a decision is likely within 60 days.
