Kooky Canuck is putting together the final touches for its new restaurant location in Cordova.

"Everybody (business owners) is happy and content with their performance in Cordova. It's far enough from the Downtown location that it doesn't eat into Downtown sales and vice versa," said owner Shawn Danko about the move.

Danko said he was hoping for a soft opening on Friday, but it's more likely going to be Monday or Tuesday on the first week of November.

The restaurant, which seats 248 people and employs 55, will open in three phases. A soft opening will take place in the bar and main portion of the dining room, the second phase will open the patio and the private dining space will be the final piece.

The new restaurant at 1250 Germantown Parkway will resemble the Downtown mainstay at 97. S. Second St. with revamped design elements.
