Artists and performers from the arts district of Lowertown announce the celebration of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), which will be held Saturday, Nov. 1 between 7:00 p.m – 12:00 a.m. at the Bedlam Theatre, 213 East 4th Street in downtown Saint Paul.

The evening will be filled with art, live music, poetry, storytelling, face painting, dancing, and food celebrating the traditional Mexican holiday. Artists exhibiting include Tacoumba T. Aiken, Dan Wieken, Chad Hambright and Jessie McNally, with live music including Daniel Zamzow, Mahngüs and Yeti Steady, and live painting by Adetomiwa Gbadebo.

The public is encouraged to wear a piece of clothing of a loved one who has passed and bring remembrance items to place on an ofrenda altar.
