Vikings Rookie LB Barr Making Big Impression

The Minnesota Vikings have been singing Anthony Barr’s praises ever since they drafted him ninth overall last spring. The speedy linebacker has been living up to the expectations halfway through his rookie season. Barr has been one of the bright spots for an up-and-down team through the first eight games.

Team Grades: Vikings Earn Just Above Average Marks In Overtime Victory Against Buccaneers

The Minnesota Vikings scored first and last to defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 19-13 in overtime Sunday at Raymond James Stadium. The Vikings offense was OK. They made plays when they needed to, even though it wasn’t very consistent. The defense was great through three quarters before falling apart in the fourth.

Injury Report: Robinson Leaves Minnesota Vikings Practice, Sullivan Returns

The Minnesota Vikings were down a cornerback by the conclusion of practice on Thursday. Josh Robinson suffered an ankle injury and missed the remainder of practice. The team also learned that John Sullivan passed his concussion tests and practiced in a limited capacity. The team listed two players as non-participants, five as limited participants and four as full participants in Thursday’s practice. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have eight players listed on their injury report.

A controversial football team is coming to town and not everyone is on board because of their name and mascot.
At a press conference Thursday, the National Coalition Against Racism in Sports and Media announced a rally, called “No Honor In Racism Rally,” which will be held during next week’s Vikings game.

Vikings C Sullivan Returns From Concussion

Minnesota Vikings center John Sullivan passed concussion testing and is expected to play Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sullivan, the veteran leader of Minnesota’s struggling offensive line, left Sunday’s game at Buffalo in the first quarter. He missed Wednesday’s practice but returned on a limited basis Thursday.

Fourth-And-Twenty Play Sticks In The Minds Of The Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings had a chance to clinch a victory over the Buffalo Bills Sunday at Ralph Wilson Stadium, but a fourth-and-20 conversion kept the game-winning drive alive. The Vikings were caught off guard by the quick pace of the 24-yard pass from Kyle Orton to Scott Chandler that converted the long fourth down and set up the game-winning score with one second remaining. During the game, the Vikings suffered a pair of injuries that forced the team to make changes on the offensive line.
