- Post Carbon Institute is the “Doing Business As” name of Metafoundation, a nonprofit organization incorporated in the state of Oregon. Donations can be made out to either “Metafoundation” or “Post Carbon Institute.” Our Federal Tax ID number is 65-1208462.
