UPDATE click here for 10/2/14 storm/wind damage photos in Arlington.
UPDATE Aug 2014 the City never responded and the NCTCOG won’t put it on the agenda for their next storm water meeting.
Sept1, 2014 UPDATE here is today’s screen shot for an action request. I never heard back from our gas drilling dept. personal email that I sent to Jim Parajon the day this happened.
END UPDATE
This flood made international news…
This pic is from the west side of Elm st. The flood waters are traveling east in this storm drain on my street by the Boys & Girls Club at the 600 Block of N Elm St …
This next pic is of Elm street facing east where waters are moving fast eastward towards the Entertainment District…
Here is the video of Elm street facing east…https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10204158688070357&set=vb.1320864445&type=2&theater
Next is a pic below of the same water as seen on Elm a couple of blocks east. This is a west view of the 700 block of E Sanford & Truman St by the mobile home park.
This next video below is where you can see two downed trees on Sanford street.
The city was quick to come excavate and remove the trees. The following video is a view of the east side of Truman & Sanford apartments that are one block west of Collins street south of the ATT Stadium…

Notice in the video the water fall coming from the south? The Chesapeake site is located south too…..
The Chesapeake Truman drill site is at 310 N Collins & Division and their frac fresh water pond and storage tanks are about 700 feet away from those apartments. On their padsite, they have what appears to be two storm drains which may have already released the water?
Any storm water that comes off any drill site should be held and tested before being released.
But in my experience with other Arlington storm flooded drillsites…
between Cheap Cheatapeake,
our Cowardly City Council,
the land Rapist Railroad Comission (RRC), and
the Economically challenged EPA…..
the only testing that MIGHT be done would be by the RRC who would then ONLY test for chlorides-not fracking fluids, NORM, heavy metals, or Benzene.
If they don’t want to test cause they don’t want us to know the results, they should at least send out a vacuum truck and dispose of that water in an injection well…..but if those are storm drains and they are in the open position on the padsite, then that is too late…for Johnson Creek.
Finally the storm waters (mixed with toxic padsite colloids riddled pollution?) continued eastward. WFAA covered the closure of Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor with some impressive Johnson Creek waters….
The next two photos are from Gabriel Rivas taken at Collins and Randol Mill which is north of the ATT Stadium.
Floods are bad….flooded drill stites are even worse though….ban fracking now….plug and abandon all these gas wells…un-industrialize Arlington TX.

Please assist in getting an agenda item on the NCTCOG’s next meeting on 9/10/14, 9:30 am for storm water drainage issues related to holding and testing storm waters at Urban Drilling Padsites and Compressor Stations for…
Heavy Metals,
NORM,
Colloids,
BTEX, and
Fracking Chemicals
In addition to effluents that can contaminate the padsites at all stages of NG extraction/production, there is a newly identified problem with COLLOIDS during the flowback stage and mudfarming stage. This is the equivalent of “frack on crack” as heavy metals can leach out of the ground at an abnormally high rate.
This needs to be addressed ASAP in our feast or famine rain weather conditions here in the Barnett Shale.
Thank You
Kim Feil
