And Dillard's and Garduño's, meet your new neighbor.

Dave & Buster's opened its doors to the media today in advance of a Nov. 3 grand opening at Gary Goodman's ever-evolving Winrock Town Center in Albuquerque's Northeast Heights. See the accompanying video for a speedy tour of the inside and click on the accompanying slideshow for a less frenetic peek.

Some quick facts about the Albuquerque location:

  • 25,200 square feet (one of the chain's smallest)
  • More than 140 games
  • 260 employees
  • A "360 degree" sports bar with a huge wall of televisions
  • Its general manager is Marcus Wuerschmidt, who moved to Albuquerque from the Denver location.

The building sits where the former Winrock 6 theater used to be, off Indian School Road east of Louisiana Boulevard.

The Albuquerque location is the 71st for Dave & Buster's, which was founded in 1982 and is headquartered in Dallas. The company has made some national news this year — first it dropped efforts to sell for $1 billion, and later it filed for a $100 million initial public offering (IPO).
