Houston-based Cameron LNG has won approval from the federal government to export liquid natural gas from a new terminal it will build on the Texas border in Hackberry, La.

The new authorization allows a San Diego-based company's Houston subsidiary to export LNG from a terminal near the Texas border to more lucrative non-free trade agreement areas like Asia and Europe.

Construction on a methanol plant in Beaumont is expected to create 3,000 jobs over three years, and the company plans to create 240 permanent jobs when the plant is complete. http://ow.ly/D3YQw
According to the company, it would be the largest methanol production facility in the U.S.

At the end of July, we exported the first unrestricted U.S. crude oil in almost 40 years.
