Speaking at a rally for Mary Burke, Democrat candidate for governor in Wisconsin, President Obama once again suffered the indignity of people walking out of the auditorium, as he began to speak.  Below is embedded video (via the Weekly Standard) of people filing out as Obama’s voice can be heard in the background. And these are Democrat enthusiasts that turn out for campaign rallies.

Perhaps in an effort to keep the crowd amused, the president joked about the notorious vote fraud corruption in Chicago, the city he chose to launch his political career in.  Brian Hughes of the Examiner writes:

President Obama poked fun at the checkered political history of his hometown Chicago on Tuesday, reminding voters in Wisconsin to vote early — but not often.

"You can only vote once — this isn't Chicago, now,” Obama said at a rally in Milwaukee for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mary Burke.

Both parties are upping their early voting efforts, especially with low turnout expected on Election Day.

Obama was brought in to fire up the Democratic base, traveling to a ward in which he carried 99 percent of the vote in the 2012 presidential contest against Republican Mitt Romney.

Obama’s jokes about corruption have been known to foreshadow actual corruption that was the subject of his joke. Consider that in 2009, he joked about using IRS audits to punish his political enemies.
