The Sayings of Barack Obama

Herewith readers will find a voter’s guide to the midterm elections, relying entirely on the some of the more disgraceful statements made by the President of the United States over the years. Voting gives Americans a way to register their disapproval and vote out his enablers.  America may not be able to impeach Obama in the House but he has already impeached himself by having done what he likes to do so much: talk.

And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

I’m no interested in the suburbs. Suburbs bore me.

Reading these two views together leads to the conclusion that Obama disdains rural America and suburban America leaving, basically, urban areas as his sole interest. That leaves him not caring about most of America. A president is supposed to represent all Americans not favored groups.

"I believe in American exceptionalism, just as I suspect that the Brits believe in British exceptionalism and the Greeks believe in Greek exceptionalism."

Well he does seem himself as exceptional at least:

“It is very rare that I come to an event where I’m like the fifth or sixth most interesting person,” Obama joked at the Lincoln Center dinner. .

No wonder he finds a congenial playground in Hollywood.

“I think that I’m a better speechwriter than my speechwriters. I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors. And I’ll tell you right now that I’m gonna think I’m a better political director than my political director.”

Yet somehow this brilliant man thinks they speak “Austrian” in Austria; there are 57 states in America; Hawaii is in Asia; and he repeatedly makes legal mistakes -- despite being, as we were endlessly informed  the Harvard Law School Review president and a constitutional law professor (which he was not; he was a part-time lecturer, but facts do not matter when Obama is involved).

His ego and hubris have caused America grievous damage since he ignores advice from genuinely talented and experienced people.

But he does not find other Americans to be exceptional:

Americans have become "a little soft..." a little bit lazy..." "have lost our ambition, our imagination, and our willingness to do things that built the Golden Gate Bridge" before he became president.

"Take off your bedroom slippers. Put on your marching shoes. Stop complaining. Stop grumblin'. Stop cryin'." (addressing a group of blacks decrying lack of support for their community).

"Part of the reason that our politics seems so tough right now and facts and science and argument does not seem to be winning the day all the time is because we're hardwired not to always think clearly when we're scared. And the country's scared."

So Americans are scared because so many of them just listen to Rush Limbaugh?

“When you spread the wealth around it is good for everybody”

Policeman “acted stupidly” and there is a “long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately”, criticizing the arrest of a Harvard professor and personal friend, Henry Louis Gates, Jr. arrested while appearing to break into a house (that turned out to be his own)

“They’re going to try to make you afraid of me. ‘He’s young and inexperienced and he’s got a funny name. And did I mention he’s black?”

On that score, I covered some ground in an earlier column (What Obama thinks of Americans):

Barack Obama see a more pervasive sense of racism stalking the land than was evident when he gave his famous 2004 "There is no white America, no black America" speech at the Democratic National Convention.  He commented recently that elections are tight when you have a name like "Barack Obama."  This is not the first time he has cast aspersions on Americans.  Back in 2008, he said Americans might be reluctant to vote for him because, referring to himself, he “doesn't look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills."  His grandmother was fearful of black youths because she was a "typical white person," and he quoted approvingly in his book The Audacity of Hope that "white men's greed runs a world in need."

Republicans are "bomb-throwers" and "hostage takers" who sip Slurpees while driving the economy into a ditch.  If they want to help, though, they have to sit in the back of the bus.  From there, at least they won't be able to excavate moats and fill them with alligators to kill Hispanics slipping across the border from Mexico.  Republicans are members of the Flat Earth Society, though, so how worthwhile would their input be anyway?

So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted.

“Fat Cats” used many times with feeling. He also taunted fat cats by declaring, "I'm the only thing standing between you and the pitchforks."

While meeting with a Democrat wavering on casting a yes vote on ObamaCare, he chose not to engage him with reasons, but instead belittled him in front of others by telling him, "Don't think we're not keeping score, brother." Was this form of public emasculation really necessary?

Those greedy doctors. “You come in and you’ve got a bad sore throat, or your child has a bad sore throat or has repeated sore throats,” President Obama explained at Wednesday’s press conference. “The doctor may look at the reimbursement system and say to himself, ‘You know what? I make a lot more money if I take this kid’s tonsils out.’” .

"All I'm saying is let's take the example of something like diabetes... if a family care physician works with his or her patient to help them lose weight, modify diet, monitors whether they're taking their medications in a timely fashion, they might get reimbursed a pittance. But if that same diabetic ends up getting their foot amputated, that's $30,000, $40,000, $50,000 -- immediately the surgeon is reimbursed. Well, why not make sure that we're also reimbursing the care that prevents the amputation, right? That will save us money.”

No mention of any greed or frivolous cases among malpractice or trial lawyers' greed -- greed is good when it is a trait of Democratic donors.

Boasting triumphantly of his victory, he rudely dismissed a Republican who attempted a few days after Obama’s inauguration to dare offer suggestions about the stimulus bill with “I won…I trump you.” During the heath care summit in 2010, he told John McCain who was attempting to change ObamaCare, “The election is over.”

I’m really good at killing people.”

Well that would be American military personnel, not your ordering occasional drone strikes.

“The issue here is not gonna be a list of accomplishments. As you said yourself, Steve, you know, I would put our legislative and foreign policy accomplishments in our first two years against any president — with the possible exceptions of Johnson, F.D.R., and Lincoln.”

Ego is a major character trait of Obama in America’s Narcissist in Chief.

“Leading from Behind”-not actually said by him but by a top aide who characterized Obama’s national security policy.

But Obama did say this, thinking no American or anyone else than Vladimir Putin’s puppet would hear him   ““This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.” . So much for his promise to Americans to run the most transparent administration in history - a promise he fulfills only to America’s adversaries (See Obama’s Loose Lips

So I know whose ass to kick.”

(How presidential!).

"You would think they'd be saying thank you" on Tea Party protesters who received tax cuts.

"Companies like Solyndra are leading the way toward a brighter and more prosperous future."

"You are the reason I ran for office." while addressing the Occupy Wall Street movement.

GOP plans should be called a “stinkburger or meanwhich.”  So much for our modern-day Pericles.

Mr. Obama noted that Arizona State Uuniversity had refused to grant him an honorary degree, citing his lack of experience, and the controversy this had caused. He then demonstrated ASU's point by remarking, "I really thought this was much ado about nothing, but I do think we all learned an important lesson. I learned never again to pick another team over the Sun Devils in my NCAA brackets. . . . President [Michael] Crowe and the Board of Regents will soon learn all about being audited by the IRS." That was early in in 2009 and foreshadowed the weaponizing of the IRS and other government bodies by Barack Obama and his minions.

I fought with you in the Senate for comprehensive immigration reform. And I will make it a top priority in my first year as President.” This was a pander and false but he probably will again lead from behind by declaring a mass amnesty after the midterms. since he laid down the gauntlet on executive actions by threateningI’ve got a phone and a pen.”

Or as Obama boasted: “I can do whatever I want.”

The Constitution is just a piece of parchment to him and he blames it and the Founding Fathers for making the fulfillment of his goal to “fundamentally transform America” harder to achieve.

Obama willfully dismissed ISIS as a threat, demoting them to JayVee status.  Obama has dismissed threats from Al Qaeda repeatedly bragging  that Al Qaeda was  decimated and on the run on the path to defeat and then defeated -- a claim Obama has made over 30 times. In the real world, Al Qaeda and its offshoot, the JayVee ISIS, now occupy more territory and has far more wealth and power than it ever had before.  It is on the run, alright, towards a city and shopping center near you. But rest assured, Obama tells us, they are defeated and the tide of war is receding.  He barely reacts but recreates instead. The world is more tranquil than ever before because of Obama’s leadership. Does it feel that way to most Americans?

Obamacare is working exactly as it should, according to Barack Obama -- even though people are losing their doctors and premiums are not plummeting, as promised. Yet Obama says the criticism should stop since “the debate is over.”  Why has his repeated promises that 'If you like your health care plan, you can keep it' been widely declared to be “The Lie of the Year” by fact-checkers across America?  He and his advisers knew it was false quite early during the passing and rollout of ObamaCare but kept lying.

There is not a smidgen of corruption at the IRS.

Obama never takes responsibility for failure, always blaming others for his negligence, laziness, and poor judgment. Conversely, it his always “I” “Me” “My” when a rare success occurs -- see his self-love after Bin Laden was killed. When problems arise, the pronoun is switched to “they”.

Lately he has thrown under the bus (a crowded place after 6 years of Obama) the CIA for failing to comprehend the ISIS threat: “Well I think, our head of the intelligence community, Jim Clapper, has acknowledged that I think they underestimated what had been taking place in Syria.”

Obama is a Blamethrower when things go awry under his presidency (many other examples can be found here).

There are many other examples of Obama’s sayings that portray a more revealing image of Obama than the one promoted by a besotted media. They reveal his character and agenda.

But concluding with a few more will help guide voters in the week ahead.

"I am not on the ballot this fall. Michelle’s pretty happy about that. But make no mistake: these policies are on the ballot. Every single one of them.”

“These are all folks who vote with me, they have supported my agenda in Congress.” (speaking of Democrats running for office. That is at least one truthful statement he has made since Democrats in Congress overwhelming voted in favor of his agenda.

If Michelle Nunn wins, that means we can keep on doing some good work”, speaking of the Georgian Democratic Senatorial candidate.

They are his enablers.

So now it is time for Americans to exercise their sacred right to vote.

What does Barack Obama say  about voting and his conception of democracy?

To Latno voters: 'We're gonna punish our enemies and we're gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us.”

To all other Americans: “Voting is the best revenge.”

Americans, now is the time to take your revenge.

It is not a noble sentiment but it is an imperative step to repair the damage to our nation and help derail Obama’s agenda.

Yes we can!
