Mayor Parker: Houston Will Drop Subpoenas for Sermons

Houston mayor Annise Parker announced Wednesday that the city will withdraw its subpoenas of five pastors who opposed a rule banning discrimination against gays and lesbians.

Buoyed by recent polling numbers in the Texas governor's race, Republican nominee Greg Abbott touted his support among female voters during a Wednesday campaign stop, less than a week before the Nov. 4 election.
