COBBE, Charles M. Age 67, of Dallas passed away on October 22. A man of faith and kindness, a lover of family, nature and learning, Chuck was a gracious friend and neighbor to many. He was born in Cincinnati, OH to Thomas and Jean Cobbe and earned a B.A. in international relations from Miami University of Ohio. After receiving the J.D. from University of Michigan Law School, he practiced law in Columbus, OH, and Dallas, TX. He was certified in business bankruptcy law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Until his recent retirement he was Senior Counsel with Cavazos, Hendricks, Poirot & Smitham. While in active practice, he was a member of the John C. Ford American Inn of Court, Dallas Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, and American Bar Association. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lucy, son Richard Cobbe, daughter Elizabeth Cobbe Goeller and her husband Ryan Goeller, granddaughter Sophie Goeller, and brother Mark Cobbe. An avid cyclist and outdoorsman, he was a member of the Sierra Club and maintained a profound interest in conservation. Gifts in memory may be made to First United Methodist Church of Dallas or the Sierra Club (www.sierraclub.org). Services will be held at First United Methodist Church, 1928 Ross Ave, Thursday, October 30, at 2:00 pm, reception to follow. Attendees may park in Bryan Tower Garage, 717 Olive St.; a complementary exit pass will be available at the church reception desk. Family visitation will take place at Sparkman-Hillcrest, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Wednes-day, 5:00-7:00 pm.
