Image of the day: A playground to explore, imagine and create
-
Amanda Thompson, 13, pictured left, paints a hopscotch court Oct. 29 for PLM Families Together's new playground with the help of Jessica Terrell, 14, and Anna-Lisa Keller, 14. The organization, located at 908 Plainview Drive in Raleigh, is the recipient of a playground from national playground nonprofit KaBOOM! and The CarMax Foundation. About 225 volunteers came together to build the playground in a day. The CarMax Foundation and KaBOOM! will build 30 playgrounds across the United States by the end of 2015, serving more than 100,000 children.
