EagleRidge started fracking in a Denton neighborhood on Friday but stopped yesterday. Now there is a workover rig up at the site. Something went wrong but, of course, no one is informing the public.

Residents report extremely loud noises up to 114 decibles, sickly sweet chemical odors and a vapor mist covering the drill site.
EagleRidge is known for having problems during drilling, fracking and completion. Besides drilling, EagleRidge also sucks at public relations. A few of the highlights:
- They illegally dumped drilling waste into a creek.
- Had a blowout. VIDEO.
- Spewed foam all over a Mansfield neighborhood.
- Reported that Denton residents are on the Department of Homeland Security’s “Watch List.”

UPDATE: Residents are getting no answers for the city or from Mark Grawe at EagleRidge. It was reported that Grawe was rude and seems upset.
UPDATE: Another Denton resident said, “They are pulling pipe fast and furiously.”

This shows that they are pulling pipe. No one seems to know why they would have all that expensive fracking equipment sitting idly by while they pull pipe.

As upsetting as this is, I don’t think anyone is exactly surprised to learn that there’s problems. It’s kinda what EagleRidge does.
I know, Tim, it’s more than just Eagle Ridge, though; it’s what Industry does.:)
It was reported that Grawe had been very rude to people on the phone. Maybe he is a tad bit stressed out. The residents should be thankful for this wind. That hole is open right now so whatever is down there including any chemicals will be escaping into the air.

Any favorite journalists you could call upon who might be dogged enough to hunt out the truth? That might be the best route.

Have the residents reported the events to the NRC? They are responsible for any discharge of oil, gas or chemicals into the environment, whether accidental or terrorist related. The National Response Center is supposed to then contact all applicable agencies. Call 1-800-424-8802. http://www.nrc.uscg.mil
They may not get direct immediate response beyond what they have gotten by reporting locally, but they can establish Eagleridge’s record by getting into the reporting database.
