Here is an odd piece of news that may be of interest to you #advertising / #marketing / #PR  gurus out there—the iconic Zipatoni tomato has finally come down in New Honor Society's offices at 555 Washington. 
The 23,000-pound smiling tomato that was once in marketing firm Zipatoni’s world headquarters is no more.

Circling back to look at who wins (and who loses) in the +Sigma-Aldrich Corporation/ #Merck  acquisition deal. “It’s certainly more generous than I would have thought possible or reasonable,” Dmitry Silversteyn, an analyst with Longbow Research, said of Merck agreeing to buy all the outstanding shares of Sigma-Aldrich for $140 per share in cash.
​Sigma-Aldrich Corp. shareholders, including top executives, should be extremely pleased with the $17 billion in cash they’re getting from German pharmaceutical and chemical company Merck KGaA.

#California -based TTM Technologies will acquire all outstanding shares of #Clayton -based Viasystems for $11.33 in cash and 0.706 shares of TTM common stock. Viasystems makes circuit boards that are used in electronic devices and TTM was a huge rival. 
​Viasystems Group Inc. is being acquired by California-based TTM Technologies Inc. for $368 million.
